What is the Glenoid Track?

  • The "Glenoid Track" is a concept to help evaluate bipolar bone loss in shoulder instability. Hill Sachs defects are sssociated with 40-90% of instability and 100% in recurrent instability.

  • This defines the contact zone of the glenoid on the Humeral Head when arm in Abducted and ER. Its medial margin defined as  84% glenoid width. With decreasing glenoid bone, it is more likely that Hill Sachs lesions are outside of Glenoid Track
